It’s time for AAPL’s 2019 Fall Institute. Members are in Scottsdale, Arizona for career-enhancing educational opportunities and to network with peers.
Physician leaders from around the world have convened in Scottsdale, Arizona (Nov 1-5) for a transformational five-day experience unlike any conference offered in healthcare today. There’s a lot packed into five days including these courses, led by expert faculty:
Advanced Medical Staff Leadership
Professional Accountability
Science of High Reliability
Project Management
Authentic Leadership Development
Three Faces of Quality
Fundamentals of Physician Leadership
Optimizing Clinical & Business Outcomes
Resolving Conflict
Physician Wellness
Managing Physician Performance
Practical Principles of Change Management
Many of these courses can be applied toward our Certified Physician's Executive credential (CPE) or our Master's programs.
Courses are designed to address challenges that physicians face at work and to provide high-level overviews of advanced topics. Members will also find understanding and common ground with peers who’ve come to Scottsdale searching for knowledge and strategies on similar issues.
This institute also features the kickoff of our brand-new mentorship program in which seasoned leaders are paired with physicians who are in the early stages of their career. This opportunity is exclusive to AAPL members and is a great way for leaders in all career stages to make connections, share stories, and gain knowledge.
The 2019 Fall Institute is one of three live events held by the association that incorporate courses for CME credit and networking opportunities. Read more about the 2020 Winter Academies held in St. Petersburg, Florida here.
