Aspen Ethical Leadership Program: Leading Toward Justice

AAPL Editorial Team

April 2, 2023

Summary:

Registration now open for the Aspen Ethical Leadership Program "Leading Toward Justice".

This year’s program “Leading Toward Justice” will take place in Aspen, Colorado, Monday-Wednesday, September 11-13, with a pre-conference skills workshop Sunday afternoon. Speakers and implementation exercises will examine the roles of the health care system and its leaders in creating a more just world, with discussions related to the daily themes of:

  • Justice, the Law, and Health Care

  • Justice and Discrimination in Health Care

  • Justice and Bias in Health Care AI

The curriculum will once again bring together a thoughtfully curated cohort of leaders to grapple with and practice ethical decision-making using our hallmark case-study format, exploring “ripped-from-the-headlines” situations that organizational leaders are facing.

And we can’t wait to announce the national leaders who will set the context for each day and help us delve into these topics.

Learn more about each day’s theme at our website, and please register early.

As a reminder, program alumni may register directly here .

The success of this program relies on the engagement of thoughtful and committed health care leaders, so we encourage you to share this opportunity with colleagues and friends who you believe would benefit from the program.

New attendees must complete a short application, which is available on our website .

For over 45 years.

The American Association for Physician Leadership has helped physicians develop their leadership skills through education, career development, thought leadership and community building.

The American Association for Physician Leadership (AAPL) changed its name from the American College of Physician Executives (ACPE) in 2014. We may have changed our name, but we are the same organization that has been serving physician leaders since 1975.
