Abstract:
ABSTRACT: The Medicare Access and Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act (MACRA) of 2015 offers significant financial incentives for high-performing clinicians. Under MACRA, clinicians are ranked among their peers, and scores will be made publicly available the CMS. Clinicians with higher performance scores receive higher payment adjustments. This article intends to familiarize clinicians with MACRA, and the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System pathway, and provides valuable resources and recommendations for clinicians to maximize reimbursement and succeed under MACRA.
