Dr. Lace is currently Chief Medical Officer and Healthcare and Life Sciences consultant based in the Chicago office of Leaders in Medicine.

Dr. Lace’s experience is at the convergence of managed markets, disease and outcome management, and new medical technologies and services. He provides medical leadership and expertise in strategy development and implementation of innovative and creative solutions to healthcare issues. He provides expertise in analysis and strategic implementation of healthcare reform issues that impact health plans, providers, managed markets and industry.

Dr. Lace leads the development of differentiated and customized clinical and business solutions for healthcare and life sciences companies. He provides in-depth market analysis for devising payer and purchaser strategies, design and optimization of health management programs and introduction and integration of new products and services. He uses his industry knowledge to provide healthcare reform impact and reimbursement strategies to top pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies. In addition, he develops growth strategies and market opportunity assessments for leading managed care organizations. He uses his ability to understand complex market dynamics and define key driving forces to help companies develop sound strategies and approaches.

Dr. Lace provides leadership in the design and development of programs in the areas of managed care markets and technologies, consumer-driven healthcare, emerging technologies and trends, healthcare quality improvement, evidence-based medicine and comparative effectiveness research. He provides real-world experience to develop evidence generation strategies to demonstrate value for products and technologies. He provides expertise in healthcare management as well as market introduction and integration of new medical technologies, products and services to manage healthcare utilization, quality and costs.

Dr. Lace has over 25 years of leadership experience as a healthcare executive across a wide range of managed care, pharmaceutical, device, diagnostic and consulting businesses. He has served as Chief Medical Officer and has held senior leadership positions in global pharmaceutical and device companies, as well as in national managed care organizations.

In addition to being a frequent national speaker and educator on managed care programs and technologies, consumer-driven healthcare, emerging medical technologies and trends, healthcare quality improvement, evidence-based medicine and Health Care Reform, Dr. Lace has authored numerous articles and has served on the Board of Directors, Medical Advisory Boards, Editorial Boards and Expert Panels for multiple healthcare entities
