2025 Annual Leadership Conference - Pre-Conference Course - Enhancing Physician Engagement (Staging)

In-Person

According to a recent report, a quarter of physicians are considering leaving medicine in the next two to three years. There are two major age groups: those older than 60 and physicians between the ages of 30 and 39. As a result, the importance of both recruiting and retaining physicians has never been greater.

This course is focused on understanding the obstacles physicians face in the present healthcare environment and using that knowledge to focus on ways to break down these barriers. A critical element of the course is attendee participation with a discussion of challenges faced in physician engagement, recruitment and retention in a variety of clinical settings. Through an exploration of these and other topics, attendees will develop strategies to improve physician satisfaction.

The American Association for Physician Leadership has helped physicians develop their leadership skills through education, career development, thought leadership and community building.

The American Association for Physician Leadership (AAPL) changed its name from the American College of Physician Executives (ACPE) in 2014. We may have changed our name, but we are the same organization that has been serving physician leaders since 1975.
