American Association for Physician Leadership president and CEO Peter Angood, MD, FRCS(C), FACS, MCCM, will be among the featured presenters at the American College of Cardiology’s Cardiovascular Summit in Orlando, Florida, Feb. 14-16.
The summit, at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, offers contemporary strategies for leadership, quality improvement, operational excellence and finance. It is expected to draw more than 400 cardiology physicians, care-team members, administrators and executives.
The event includes several keynote speakers, plenary sessions, nearly three dozen invited faculty and more than 30 basic and advanced small-group workshops.
Among the workshops is “Cardiovascular Entrepreneur: How to Create Radical Change,” which will be led by Angood and Cheryl Pegus, MD, MPH, chief medical officer and senior vice president of Cambia Health Solutions, on Feb. 14.
On Feb. 15, Angood teams with Charles L. Brown III, MD, FACC, the CEO of The Physician Enterprise of Piedmont Healthcare, for a workshop that answers the question: Does your system need a chief wellness officer?
