It is imperative that you stay maintain your leadership skills and stay up to date on the current issues and trends to impact positive change in your organization and the healthcare industry.

• Provide concrete examples of how your experience will positively impact your day-to-day work. With nearly 60 education sessions, you can select sessions that are most beneficial to you, your team and organization. Let your boss know your custom curriculum will help solve workplace challenges. For example, is your organization struggling with physician engagement? Highlight the sessions that cover management and engagement tactics. Do you need to advance your leadership and strategy skills? We have many topics on this from speakers who are trusted and recognized for their expertise.

• Create an agenda of sessions you want to attend via the app. Be sure to download the app before arriving.

• Engage with other attendees via the app. The activity feed is particularly popular with attendees!

• Friday, June 9: Stop by the AAPL Membership Desk first thing in the morning on Friday, 8:00-8:30 AM. Meet other first-time attendees and some “regulars” to chat before heading to the Opening Keynote.

• Pro Tip: If a session is particularly important to you, arrive EARLY! Some rooms will reach capacity quickly and arriving late could mean you won’t get access to the room.

• Stop by the AAPL Information Area to meet and ask questions to AAPL staff members and volunteers who will provide guidance as you navigate your first AAPL Annual Leadership Conference.
